Not all breeders list their kittens on our website because they may be spoken for before they have time to list them. It is very unlikely that you would be able to buy a kitten immediately as most litters are spoken for by the time they are 6-8 weeks old, and they do not leave home until they are about 13 weeks old. You can contact a breeder at any time to introduce yourself and indicate your interest in buying a kitten. The full breeder list is here.
There are strict rules that all GCCF breeders are required to follow when selling kittens. The most important of these for buyers is that any kitten must have received the full course of vaccinations in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications at least one week before sale. This means that your kitten should not be sold before the age of 12-13 weeks. If a breeder offers, or agrees, to sell you a kitten before this time please report them directly to the GCCF. Please do not ask a breeder to break the rules of the GCCF for your convenience.
Although every effort is made to ensure breeders on our list are reputable, the Club is not able to inspect personally and regularly all the breeders who apply to be on our list. To the best of our knowledge these breeders are working within the code of ethics of the GCCF, but the Club cannot undertake to guarantee the practices of breeders on this list. Please see our welfare page for further information about what to do if you have concerns about a breeder.
